The 53rd Indian Turf Invitation Cup Weekend 2015, the most sought after event in Indian racing concluded its second day at Mahalakshmi Racecourse.
The main race – The Omkar Indian Turf Invitation Cup (Grade 1), Terms, Indian Horses, 4 years old and over, saw Mahesh Narredu trained Quasar bolt to the front to win ‘The Omkar Indian turf Invitation Cup 2015’ with timing of 2:28:73 leaving his own trained BE SAFE, the Tote favorite, to finish 2nd with the timing of 2:28:79. Pesi Shroff trained Amazing Grace placed 3rd with a timing of 2:29:15.
The Maj. P. K. Mehra Memorial Super Mile Cup (Grade 1), Terms, Indian Horses, 4 years old and over, Tote Favourites Vishal trained Zachary won the race with a timing of 1:33:96 leaving S. S. Attaollahi trained Arrogant Approach to finish 2nd with timing of 1:34:74 where as C. D. Katrak trained Shivalik Storm positioned 3rd with a timing of 1:34:84.
The Deltin Casinos Stayers' Cup (Grade 1) (Terms, Indian Horses, 4 years old and over, last race of the day saw Altamaash A. Ahmed trained Astapi won with the timing of 3:11:97 leaving Tote Favourite Pesi Shroff trained Tiger Tops to finish 2nd with timing of 3:12:36.
