When Kanika Kapoor met Prince Charles!

Mumbai, July 6, 2015: Couple of days ago singer Kanika Kapoor attended the Elephant Family charity “Travels to my Elephants” hosted by Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
The Elephant Family charity that has Prince Charles and Camilla as joint presidents, aims to protect the endangered Asian elephants from extinction. Kanika is set to perform at their once-in-a-lifetime celebrity auto rickshaw race this November in India called the 'Elephant Family Trek' to raise funds for the cause.

Alongside her, the race will also feature some very high profile celebrities and royalty such as actress Susan Sarandon, TRH Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie who will be partaking in the 500km epic Indian rickshaw adventure across Madhya Pradesh to fundraise for the charity.
So when Kanika Kapoor was introduced to Prince Charles as Bollywood’s latest singing sensation, he couldn't resist attempting a few Hindi words himself! He was heard disclosing to her in their tête-à-tête that his favourite Hindi word is ‘Mehbooba’What's more - he often even calls his wife Camilla his beloved Mehabooba!
In response to him, Kanika promised that she would use his favourite Hindi word in her upcoming songs!
We also hear that the fleet of auto rickshaws have been decorated in London by a spectrum of artists, milliners and fashion houses including DVF, Nicky Haslam, and Sabyasachi.

A small note for your perusal about Elephant Family charity:
Elephant Family is the UK’s biggest funder of the endangered Asian elephant, of which there are believed to be just 35,000-40,000 in the wild. Since its launch in 2002, the charity has invested over £6m in conservation projects across Asia, working to secure elephant and wildlife habitats, supporting local communities to reduce incidents of human-elephant conflict and highlighting the plight of the Asian elephant with UK-wide education programs and publicity. Elephant Family takes a creative approach to conservation and is best known for Elephant Parade London which saw 258 brightly painted elephant sculptures installed throughout London.
This year Elephant Family and Quintessentially Foundation are partnering to present their boldest, most eccentric adventure to date. Inspired by Mark Shand, the founder of the cause who is the Duchess of Cornwall Camilla's brother and his elephant Tara, this event taking place in both London and India has a fleet of exquisitely decorated rickshaws at its heart. The rickshaws will be seen taking over London’s street during the summer months, before racing to Tara in November, each one will be decorated by a different artist, fashion designer or personality.
The Travels To My Elephant trek will see some high-profile British celebrities drive 500 kilometres across India to highlight the plight of the endangered Asian Elephant. In November 2015, a fleet of thirty rickshaws will journey 500km across Madhya Pradesh, India, in a race to save Asia's elephants from extinction. The charity rickshaw race will take place in memory of Camilla's late brother, Mark Shand who is the founder of the cause. Camilla and Prince Charles became joint presidents of the charity after his death.
