Sofitel Mumbai BKC in association with Gurkha Cigars launches its Cigar Lounge at Artisan

Thursday, 12th May 2016: At a glittering ceremony this evening, Sofitel Mumbai BKC in association with Gurkha Cigars announced the opening of its Cigar Lounge at Artisan. The Cigar Lounge was inaugurated by Mr. Anish Trivedi - a prominent radio and theatre personality and a cigar enthusiast himself, in the presence of Mr. Biswajit Chakraborty - General Manager of Sofitel Mumbai BKC and Mr. Danny Carroll - Brand Ambassador India of Gurkha Cigars. 

The eclectic guest list was privy to some of the finest cigars along with exquisite glasses of single malts. Set amidst luxurious settings, the Cigar Lounge opens out to a lush garden where guests were also seen enjoying their cigars.
The most unique feature of this brand new Cigar Lounge is Gurkha’s ‘His Majesty’s Reserve’ (HMR). His Majesty’s Reserve is a rare and special medium full bodied cigar and is known as the world’s most expensive cigar. HMR is infused with a 40 year old Louis XIII Cognac that costs $3,000 a bottle and an entire bottle is used to make one box of HMR cigars.

Cellar Reserve on the other hand, uses the finest 15-year old tobacco, comprised of an oily Criollo 1998 wrapper that combines an aged Dominican, Olor binder with a 15-year filler. These cigars are housed in unique wooden boxes that aesthetically evoke a maturing wine barrel at the lounge. The Cigar Lounge also saw aficionados partaking in rolled up blends of ten other premium labels under the Gurkha umbrella -the flavours, textures and blends of which were appreciated by guests.

The Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle, Mumbai will be holding the 53rd Postal Pension Adalat for pensioners/family pensioners of Postal Department on 29th Sept 2023 at 11.00 Hrs, in the Office of Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle, Mumbai -400 001.
