“The system is Madaari, and we all are its’ Jamura”
Mumbai,
Maharashtra, 15th July, 2016: When
you think of versatility in terms of Indian Cinema, undoubtedly Irrfan Khan is
the one that comes to mind. His diligence speaks volumes in the variety of
roles he offers to the audience. He managed to win the crowd yet again, when he
visited Mithibai College on 15th July (Friday) to promote his
upcoming social-thriller ‘Madaari’ associated with the college’s media festival
Paparazzi ’16.
“The
movie aims for the youth as it reflects the ideas and questions they arise.
Students have a lot of energy during this phase of their life and they often
misinterpret their true calling. It is the inattention and neglect that makes
people remain in their bubble. So I wish Paparazzi ’16 all the very best in
their endeavor, as they do their bit about creating awareness”, says Irrfan.
The
promotional event cum press conference, held in the Juhu Jagruti Hall of
Mithibai college was filled with journalists and media persons who wished to capture
the actor with his vision regarding the movie. Missing during the promotion was the film’s director Nishkant
Kamat, who has delivered laudable cinema with Drishyam, Force, Lai Bhaari, etc.
The
event was attended by a great number of students as well as the Vice Principal
and other faculty members of the department. When asked about the success of
the event, Vice Principal Dr. Nupur Mehrotra said, “We were looking forward to
have such a skillful artist as our guest, whose deviant behavior always
intrigued us. Mass Media students had a great event planned. I hope people go
and watch ‘Madaari’, a movie that challenges your ethics as vigilant citizens
of this country.”
As
the movie’s tagline read, “sshh…Desh So Raha Hai”, Paparazzi ’16 conducted an
online activity on their Facebook page that asked people to creatively word
their thoughts about waking people from their stupor and negligence. The three
winners who commented strongly about women suffrage, were felicitated by Irrfan
Khan and were gifted Madaari’s t-shirts.
The promotional event was associated with
Mithibai College’s Mass Media festival ‘Paparazzi’ that will be held on the 31st
August, 1st and 2nd of September 2016.
