Mithibai’s Paparazzi Team drives away hunger
Paparazzi
continues their social act at Vile Parle and Andheri
Mumbai, Maharashtra, July 31, 2016: Despite a heavy downpour on Sunday, over 250 underprivileged people in
Vile Parle and Andheri were brought to delight when students of Mithibai
College’s Mass Media festival, ‘Paparazzi’ organized lunch for them. Paparazzi associated
with Mr. Antariksh Baldota from Paratha Mantra to carry out this social
initiative wherein food packets were distributed in the afternoon.
“Bada accha
laga ki humare liye in baccho ne socha aur kuch kiya. Hum sab ko aaj bhar pate
khana mila”, says Srikant Vijay, who lives with five people.
Mithibai firmly
believes in contributing towards the welfare of the society.
“Every
opportunity to please the underprivileged should be seized. The Mass Media
students have taken a wonderful initiative to provide the needy people with a
filling meal,” says Dr. Rajpal Shripat Hande, Principal of Mithibai College,
when approached after the event.
The Paparazzi team
has been active with their social endeavors. Earlier this month, the students
had organized a street play titled ‘Anna Apoorna’, about the wastage of food at
Juhu beach and Carter road. Social acts for the two upcoming Sundays have also
been planned. On 7th August, students would visit old age homes and
the social initiative will conclude with the distribution of books, clothes,
toys and stationery to children in orphanages on 14th August.
Students of ‘Paparazzi’ had also helped in this
years’ Degree College admission process by installing admission kits in
classrooms. These kits comprised of all the necessary stationery items like
pens, pencils, staplers, erasers, etc. They also distributed bottles of water
to teachers, students and parents involved in the admissions of the Unaided
Courses.
