Nilkamal Supports Demonetization: ‘Sit’ rather than ‘Stand’ in queues

2nd December, Mumbai: In a major step to support the change in the country, Nilkamal has distributed more than 200 free chairs at various ATM outlets of SBI, ICICI, Axis Bank and Corporation Bank. The agony faced by common man was taken notice by Nilkamal and hence they have distributed free chairs across cities like Mumbai, Pune, Indore, Ahmedabad and Surat so far.
Due to the recent move of demonetization, long queues of people for cash withdrawal at Banks and ATM has become a common sight in every part of the country. People were facing problems in withdrawing cash from banks and ATMs as queues were incessant. This is when Nilkamal decided to showcase its support to the change taking place in the country. They distributed chairs at various ATM Centres and Banks so that people can ‘sit’ in queue rather than ‘stand’ in queue.
Addressing the initiative, Mr. Manish Parekh, Executive Director,Nilkamal said,“This initiative is a part of our corporate social responsibility. We wanted to provide our chairs for the people waiting in long queues at the banks and ATMS pan India. Let us all be patient and comfortable while supporting this great change in our Nation.”
Appreciating the activity, Mr.Rajat Trehan, Sr. Manager, Axis Bank(MIDC Branch) said, “We are grateful of the nice gesture by Nilkamal. People were happy to receive comfortable sitting arrangement while waiting at Banks and ATM.”
Nilkamal is planning to execute similar initiative in more cities to support the change in country.
