MGL’s First CNG Station in Uran

Dedicated to the People by Hon’ble Guardian Minister

Uran, July 14th, 2018 : Continuing with its endeavor to expand the footprint of its offering of eco-friendly fuel, Mahanagar Gas Limited today organized a dedication ceremony for its first CNG station installed in Uran. The CNG station at Dronagiri Service Station, Uran was dedicated to the people by Shri Ravindra Chavan, Minister of State for Ports, Medical Education, IT, Food & Civil Supplies, Consumer Protection, as well as the Guardian Minister of Raigad, in the presence of Shri Manoharsheth Bhoir, MLA (Uran) Shri Prashant Thakur, MLA (Panvel), Shri Mahesh Baldi, Trustee, JNPT and Shrimati Jayawanti Mhatre, Sarpanch among others.

Uran, which lies in the district of Raigad, is a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and introduction of MGL’s CNG offering will cater to the growing demand for economical and green fuel alternatives in the region. This CNG station marks extension of MGL’s CNG network in Uran city and with its booster compressor & 4 dispensing points, it will cater to autorickshaws and other four-wheelers in Uran and nearby areas

Making CNG available in Uran is a testimony of MGL’s commitment to expand the reach of an environmentally friendly fuel in areas of Raigad district.  MGL will continue to further expand its network in Uran and surrounding areas for the convenience of vehicle owners and also to provide PNG connections to households in large numbers. This will bring the citizens in the area one step closer to be able to contribute in making the environment clean and green.

MGL has been providing CNG and PNG to the residents of Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) for 23 years. Over 6 lakh vehicles in MMR and some parts of Raigad district are currently plying on CNG provided by MGL.
