Power Minister & Chairman GTDC inaugurates GTDC information counter at Goa Niwas, New Delhi
Panjim, October 2: Shri Nilesh Cabral, Hon. Power Minister and Chairman GTDC inaugurated an Information and facilitation counter of Goa Tourism Development Corporation at Goa Niwas Chanakyapuri on Tuesday 1st November 2018 in the presence of Dy. Resident Commissioner D.C. Gupta, GTDC PRO Deepak Narvekar, Krishna Kamat official of GHRSSIDC and staff at Goa Niwas.
Speaking at the inaugural function in the national capital yesterday, Mr. Cabral said, “The new Tourist Information Counter will provide information of Goa Tourism services and facilities and will be disseminated to the visitors and guests from Delhi and nearby areas. He further said that GTDC receives a lot of enquiries from guests and people from Delhi.
“With the opening of this counter, guests will be facilitated and Goa tourism brochures ,CDs and other publicity material will be displayed at the counter for the information of the public.
Besides this, information on various festivals will also be available at the counter,” said Mr. Cabral.
Goa Tourism receives a large number of tourist to Goa from Delhi and neighbouring States especially during the festival season which is already underway in Goa.
“Good rail, road and air connectivity from Delhi to Goa has made it easier for tourists to travel distances in the shortest time span and enjoy maximum even if it is a short halt holiday,” Mr. Cabral said.
He emphasized on festival tourism in Goa which showcases Goa’s rich heritage, culture, cuisine and a lot more.
The Minister for Power and Chairman of GTDC who has been instrumental in rolling out new and innovative initiatives under his Chairmanship expressed confidence that tourists in the national capital will take advantage of the information counter set up by GTDC and will be enthused to visit Goa which is now a 365 day holiday destination focused on safety and security of tourists, new activities, cleanliness and more.
