Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a ‘Navratna’ Company and the ‘Central Transmission Utility (CTU)’ of the country, has posted a net profit of Rs. 1,229 Crore for the third quarter of FY 2014-15 (October-December, 2014), an increase of 18% against Rs.1,042 crore reported during the corresponding quarter of last financial year.
Total Income for October-December, 2014 period rose to Rs.4,486 crore, up 18% from Rs.3,799 crore in the year-ago period. For the first nine months of FY 2014-15, the total income and net profit are Rs.12,870 crore and  Rs.3,567 crore respectively.
POWERGRID had registered a net profit of Rs. 4,497 crore on a turnover of Rs. 15,721 crore in the FY 2013-14 and had paid a total dividend of Rs.2.58 per share.
At present, POWERGRID is operating about 113,690 ckt. kms. of transmission lines along with 189 Sub-stations and transforma­tion capacity of about 220,000 MVA.

Pension Adalat

The Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle, Mumbai will be holding the 53rd Postal Pension Adalat for pensioners/family pensioners of Postal Department on 29th Sept 2023 at 11.00 Hrs, in the Office of Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle, Mumbai -400 001.
