Juhi's kids now tease her as Jyoti Ma'am

Juhi Chawla has always had the audiences leave the theatre with her character etched in their minds be it Rashmi from QSQT to Kiran from Darr, Madhu in Ishq, Sumitra Devi in Gulaab Gang. 

The vivacious & bubbly Juhi Chawla plays a school teacher in her next Chalk N Duster slated to release this Friday. Apparently her kids Jhanvi & Arjun who have seen the movie at a private screening now call her Jyoti Ma'am, her on-screen character name. 


Chalk N Duster is a mass entertainer with a strong message to the audiences about the current commercialization of the education system & also paying a tribute to the forgotten teachers. 

Juhi as Jyoti on screen also plays a mother to a 5 year old in the movie.  Juhi who has always managed to keep her kids away from the spotlight chuckles, ' My little one calls me Jyoti Ma'am & wishes if I was his school teacher to give him high grades. He's apparently told me that he's really liked the film & will ask his teachers to watch it too. They call me Jyoti Ma'am. It's sweet when they remember your character name & it stays with them.'

Pension Adalat

The Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle, Mumbai will be holding the 53rd Postal Pension Adalat for pensioners/family pensioners of Postal Department on 29th Sept 2023 at 11.00 Hrs, in the Office of Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle, Mumbai -400 001. Grievances regarding pensionary benefits pertaining to those who retired/died while in service from Department of Posts, Pensioners of Postal Department, Maharashtra and Goa States, which have not been settled within 3 months, will only be entertained in the Postal Pension Adalat.  Cases involving purely legal points i.e. succession, Notional pension, TBOP/MACP Promotion, stepping up of pay and disciplinary cases involving policy matters and cases pending for review of DPC will not be considered in Pension Adalat .  Pensioner should forward their grievance individually (not in bulk or on behalf of others) in triplicate in the proforma attached to Accounts Officer, Pension Adalat, O/o Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtr
