Mumbai, 19^th October 2016: The evening at High Street Phoenix was gleaming as actor Kalki Kochelin launched the quintessential online home décor magazine – Beautifulhomes.com along with maverick interior designer Ashiesh Shah, Sonia Bajaj, Head Content & Brand and Amit Syngle, President , Sales and Marketing and Technology Asian Paints. The event proceeded with an interesting and involving panel discussion on home décor and designing in the Indian scenario.

The event was a two day affair which kicked off on the 18^th October 2016 with a 12 X 12 X 8 ‘Box of Inspiration’ which was placed in the middle of the Courtyard of High Street Phoenix and unveiled at the ceremony today that was beautifully anchored by celebrity anchor Shibani Dandekar.

The launch of www.beautifulhomes.com culminated into a starry event full of ideas, revelations and inspiration. Talking about inspiration, Kalki Koechlin one of the esteemed panelists and the guest of honour of the evening mentioned the late great Smita Patil and Merryl Streep to be her inspiration and idols in her journey as an actor. She also spoke about her lawyer friend, Karuna Nandi, who inspired her activism and work for issues impacting women.

Upon being probed about which was the most beautiful of her friend’s home, she mentioned all of them but specially mentioned her fascination to Susanne Roshan's house for its enchanting fairy tale appeal. If given a chance, she would love to stay in the hills with a huge farm with horses and cold breezy weather. She already has a gorgeous summer home amidst the nature in Ooty.

On the other hand, Ashiesh Shah spoke about his challenging assignment in doing up Hrithik Roshan’s house, a project he holds dearly to his heart.

The panel consisted of Sonia Bajaj, Head Content & Brand, who moderated the light-hearted discussion on Beautiful Homes and the need to focus on the designs and décor for Indian homes and spaces.The core team of Beautiful Homes consists of 3 very enterprising women – Sonia Bajaj, along with Bindu Nair and Pragnya Rao who are the editors of the magazine. Beautiful Homes is an independent initiative from the house of Asian Paints.
