Designer Sonaakshi Raaj Unveiled ‘The Empress’ At IIFA 2017 In New York

Designer Sonaakshi Raj unveiled an exquisite collection ‘The Empress’ at IIFA 2017  at Times Square in New York as an ode to the royal era.  The Empress Collection by Sonaakshi Raaj is Royalty in motion which calls out to those sexy women who are unabashedly edgy, glamorous and oh! So feminine all at once. These women are independent and fearless in their attitude. The collection draws its inspiration from a glorious era where each design brings with it a wondrous feeling of being a part of history. Using this as canvas, the line comes together to form a visual extravaganza.

Embellished with intricate work in dazzling gold, silver, pearls and beads on flowing silhouettes – The Empress Collection exudes the royal charm of a bygone era albeit with a fresh, modern edge. The always romantic and feminine colours create a neoclassical ambiance reminiscent of a walk in the clouds and into the gilded ages that is the palette of this season’s collection.

Malini Agarwal aka Miss Malini, one of the most influential woman in India, today, opened the show for the designer. The outfit beautifully captured the essence of the royal period projected by Sonaakshi. The showstopper – Huma Qureshi was sheeted in an all-black metallic number which was sexy and suave. With intricate detailing and silhouette of the garment, Huma was the quintessential damsel from the regal era.
