Adwaita Gadanayak Director General of NGMA launches “GLOBAL ART OF MODERN INDIAN PAINTERS” book

The Auspicious Publication ceremony of the book “GLOBAL ART OF MODERN INDIAN PAINTERS” was held by the Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation at the hands of Shri Adwaita Gadanayak Director General of NGMA Delhi at Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, (Prince of Wales Museum)Auditorium, Mumbai.

It was attended by top artists Prabhakar Kolte, R.B. Bhaskaran, Jatin Das, RavindraSalve, and Vishwanath Sable the Dean of J.J. School of Art, Architect I. M. Kadri, industrialists Shekhar Bajaj and Vishwajit Dahanukar, theatre guru Vijaya Mehta and many dignitaries, art patrons and connoisseurs. 

​The book is a landmark in the history of art movement in India. It will change how the World looks at Indian Art. The work of top 30 artists presented in one place ​creates powerful impact to show the top place of modern art of India in the World.

The Prominent Modern Indian Artists covered in this book include Akbar Padamsee, Anjoli Ela Menon, Jehangir Sabawala​, Krishen Khanna, M.F.Hussain, Prabhakar ​Kolte, Prafulla Dahanukar, F.N. Souza, Ram Kumar, Sakti Barman, S.H. Raza,​Tyeb Mehta, V.S. Gaitonde,​Yusuf Arakkal and many more.

This book certainly provide the relevant details of their career and the notes on appreciation of their art. It is authored by the art historian Snehal Tambulwadikar Khedkar and edited by Dilip Dahanukar the Trustee of the foundation. 

It is a well written and excellently produced book which will be interesting for all and will serve as a reference guide to the scholars. It is a place to see the work of well-known artists and know about them. Recommended reading.

Pension Adalat

The Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle, Mumbai will be holding the 53rd Postal Pension Adalat for pensioners/family pensioners of Postal Department on 29th Sept 2023 at 11.00 Hrs, in the Office of Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle, Mumbai -400 001.
