Hiya Woven Arts to give life to the great artist’s painting works on Sarees at ‘TJS Flea’!
To be held on 8th & 9th June 2019 at The Juhu Studio, Juhu
Mumbai, 7th June 2019: Keeping with its promise to revive the beautiful art on sarees, Hiya Woven Arts has a collection of gorgeous handloom Sarees from grandmother’s and mom’s trunks which makes it more beautiful by printing Jamini Roy’s painting replica on it.
 Hiya Woven Arts is all set to take the saree lovers on a mystical journey by presenting a collection of handloom sarees which are as old as 60 years..!! The Juhu Studio Flea will take place on 8th& 9th June 2019 and the flea promises to take you on a joy ride with various stalls and activities.
Piyali Goyal from Hiya Woven arts shares, “Being an anthropologist and ardent fan of various cultures, we realized that there’s no limit in our Indian Diaspora. The weave of Sarees from grandmother’s and mom’s trunks are exotic treasures. 
Our idea is to make the most elegant wear of any lady into a whole piece of wearable art. Our sarees are primarily Handloom with Jamini Roy’s painting replicated through appliqué work on each pally. Jamini Roy was one of the earliest and most significant modernists of Indian art”.
But these are not the only weaves at the exhibition, look around and you will find handicrafts and hand-made jewelry from artisans all over the country, customized handcrafted journals and photo frames, hand dyed fabric products like customized Fabric and leather hand bags, Laptop Bags, Handcrafted Janaab wallets, Glass tray and Cloth Diary, ayurvedic skin care product, first ever graphic novel in Marathi by Vikram Patwardhan, and much more in the 25 stalls occupied by sellers who have travelled miles to sell their own work, businesswomen selling products and young entrepreneurs adapting to new purposes.

The Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle, Mumbai will be holding the 53rd Postal Pension Adalat for pensioners/family pensioners of Postal Department on 29th Sept 2023 at 11.00 Hrs, in the Office of Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle, Mumbai -400 001. Grievances regarding pensionary benefits pertaining to those who retired/died while in service from Department of Posts, Pensioners of Postal Department, Maharashtra and Goa States, which have not been settled within 3 months, will only be entertained in the Postal Pension Adalat.  Cases involving purely legal points i.e. succession, Notional pension, TBOP/MACP Promotion, stepping up of pay and disciplinary cases involving policy matters and cases pending for review of DPC will not be considered in Pension Adalat .  Pensioner should forward their grievance individually (not in bulk or on behalf of others) in triplicate in the proforma attached to Accounts Officer, Pension Adalat, O/o Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtr
