Mr. Deepak Chhabria Executive Chairman, Finolex Cables Limited

 Born in 1962, Mr. Deepak K. Chhabria is the Executive Chairman of Finolex Cables Limited. He finished his school from Sevenoaks, Kent, in England and then completed his Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Evansville Indiana, USA. 

Mr. Chhabria got his first training in 1985 from Bajaj Tempo Ltd., manufacturer of three and four-wheeler vehicles. He joined Finolex Cables Ltd. as Deputy Production Manager in 1986. He got promoted to Managing Director in the year 2001. Mr. Chhabria was actively involved in setting up 9 different manufacturing plants across 4 locations in India. Under his able guidance, the company now produces a variety of electrical and communication cable products, copper rods, electrical switches, compact fluorescent lamps, LED lights, MCB and fans.

Mr. Chhabria is also the Chairman of Finolex J-Power Systems Pvt. Ltd., a Project which has been set up in a Joint Venture with J-Power Systems, Japan (100% subsidiary of Sumitomo) to manufacture EHV Power Cables up to 500 KV. This is the only Indian Company that can manufacture power cables up to 500 KV. He served as the Chairman of Corning Finolex Optic Fiber Pvt. Ltd, which is a joint venture between Corning Inc. and Finolex Cables Ltd. to market G-652D optical fiber.

Mr. Chhabria has also served as the Chairman of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) - Pune Chapter in the year 2008. He has also been appointed as Director on Board of Directors of IEEMA in August 2018.
