PANAAH 2015 KICKSTARTS WITH THE SOCIAL EVENT

‘PLAY FOR A CAUSE’
K.P.B. Hinduja College of Commerce, Charni Road launchesits inter-collegiate festival, Panaah with the social event, “Play for a cause” - a fundraising Box Cricket Tournament. Our aim was to make the children suffering from cancer feel special. The funds collected from the same have been donated to the ShriGadge Maharaj Mission Dharamshala Trust, an NGO which works for the betterment of the Cancer patients and their families.
The event was graced by Mr. Anil Desai, MP, Rajya Sabha, Mr. Pandhurang Sakpal, Vibhag Pramukh, Shiv Sena, Mr. Narendra Rane, Chairperson, Siddhivinayak Trust, Mr. MahendraPansare, President of NCP’s Colaba Unit, Ms. Meena Naik, API, Mr. Utrekar, API V.P. Road, Dr. T. A. Shiware, Director of Education, Smt. PD Hinduja Trust, and Ms. Jayshree Shetty, Vice-Principal, K.P.B Hinduja College of Commerce. Our special guests were the children from Shri Gadge Maharaj Mission Dharamshala Trust.
Student cricket enthusiasts from different colleges across Mumbai participated in the event making it a huge success.The event witnessed participation from a total of 52 teams.A total of Rs. 25000/- was raised in the span of a few hours. A cheque for the same was handed over to Shri Gadge Maharaj Charitable Trust.

Panaah - the annual inter collegiate festival of KPB Hinduja College of Commerce caters to hone students’ talent in the field of sports, cultural activities and literary arts. Our organizing committee played a great role in successfully launching the second edition of Panaah, under the guidance of Principal, Dr. MinuMadlani and, Convener Panaah, Dr. AntaraSonawane. Panaahis scheduled to take place from 27th to 30th November 2015.
