India sees third highest number of candidates globally for Chartered Financial Analyst Level I exam

  Mumbai (2,848) sees highest number of candidates followed by Delhi (1,366) Mumbai, 27 January 2017:  CFA Institute, the global association of investment management professionals, announced that of the 59,627 candidates who appeared for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level I exams globally, 5,737 were from India, the third largest number of exam takers after China (14,181) and the United States (12,187). Within India, Mumbai (2,848) has registered most number of candidate’s appearance for CFA Level I exams, followed by New Delhi (1,366), Bengaluru (917) and Kolkata (606). Regionally, Asia Pacific continues to be the largest source of candidates, with 30,569 exam takers. Globally, of the 59,627 candidates who appeared for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level I exam in December 2016, 43% have passed. India should be the first to adopt digital currency, opine experts

Mumbai, January 20, 2017:  In a panel discussion on ‘Future of Black Money’, organized by All India Association of Industries (AIAI) and World Trade Centre Mumbai, India’s leading experts on digitization and economists agreed that India had the opportunity to be the first country to implement a completely digital financial framework by adopting Bharat Coin – a digital currency on the lines of Bitcoin – and by redefining the legal tender in the wake of an unexpected demonetization. The participants felt that demonetization alone would not result in reducing counterfeiting, anonymous terrorist funding or curbing the black money. Welcoming the participants, Mr. Vijay Kalantri, President, AIAI said, “The demonetization move will have a profound impact in the long run.” He reminded them that it was not fair to compare the current demonetization move with that of 1978, as the latter replaced a mere 3% currency in circulation, as against 86% today. Nobel Hygiene & Lions Clubs to help more than 50,000 Elderly Population every year

~ A  benefit of more than Rs. 30 crores to be provided to 1,000 plus old age homes annually ~ Mumbai, January 18, 2017:  Nobel Hygiene, a market leader in adult diapers, in association with Lions Clubs International (India), the world’s leading humanitarian organisation, have signed a MoU to supply adult diapers to elderly people in old age homes across the country, at a 50% concessional rate, every year. This initiative is focussed on the frequent problem of adult incontinence or the involuntary release of urine, commonly faced by the elderly population. Through a network of 6,400 Lions Clubs in India, Nobel Hygiene is planning to provide a benefit of more than Rs. 30 crores to at least 1,000 old age homes, annually.
