Gitika Taraporewala and Sunaina Anand Present Art Now! A Group Show of 25 Contemporary Indian Artists
Thursday, 10th November: The Art Alive Gallery (New Delhi), in association with Gitika Taraporewala, Managing Partner of Criesse, presented a group exhibition portraying the contemporary Indianart trends. This mega-show was hosted by the gallery in Mumbai, after nearly five years.
The evening witnessed a camaraderie of like-minded guests who appreciate fine art such as Ceat Chairman, Harsh Goenka, Board Member at Ceat, Mahanagar Gas and Navi Mumbai SEZ Vinay Bansal, Tennis ace Leander Paes, actor Shriya Saran, Anusha Bhagat (wife of writer Chetan Bhagat), author Gautam Sachadeva, TV Presenter Neeraj Gaba, Ayub Khan, artists Sakti Burman, Sujata Bajaj, Lalia Lajmi, Nayanaa Kanodia, Art collector Nisha Jamwal, Sushant Divgikar amongst others.
The exhibition, that opens today at the Jehangir Art Gallery, showcases the works of 25 eminent contemporary artists including Sakti Burman, Jogen Chowdhury, Thota Vaikuntam, Laxma Goud, Manu Parekh, Anjolie Ela Menon, K. S.Radhakrishnan, Raghu Rai, S.Nandagopal, Senaka Senanayake, Prabhakar Kolte, Arpana Caur, Paresh Maity, V Ramesh, Jagannath Panda, B Manjunath Kamath, Sujata Bajaj, G.R.Iranna, Jayasri Burman, The Singh Twins, Riyas Komu, Nayanaa Kanodia, Chandra Bhattacharjee, S.Harsha Vardhana, Kishore Shinde, Narayan Sinha and Ranjeeta Kant.

Added Gitika Taraporewala, “Art NOW! is about art today. The show portrays the current art practices and how they have evolved over the last few years. The exhibition will showcase the works of some distinguished artists that are the faces of Indian art, along with the works of some bright emerging artists who are evolving their distinctive styles.”
