Galaxy’s “Aapda Rahat” CSR project extend flood relief aid to 1,000 families in Sangli
Representatives of Galaxy Surfactants Ltd. personally helped in reaching the relief materials to the families
Mumbai, August 23, 2019: Maharashtra is facing one of the worst flood situations in decades and Sangli districts are amongst the worst hit areas in the State.
As part of its ‘Aapda Rahat’ CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) programme, Galaxy Surfactants Limited (Galaxy) has extended flood-relief aid to 1,000 families in the districts of Sangli. Galaxy’s employees visited and distributed relief material in the villages of Masuchiwadi, Satpewadi and Gaundwadi, which are situated on the banks of Krishna River. Galaxy’s employees (including 25 members from Mumbai) personally visited the flood-affected districts and distributed relief material to the affected people.
Each member of the thousand families received Food Items (rice, dal, oil, chana, wheat flour, salt, tea & sugar amongst others) as well as Household & Hygiene items (chaddar, satranji, candles, match boxes, mosquito repellants, soaps and floor cleaners) from Galaxy.
