Mumbai’s first-ever safety-first lockdown wedding by Bride and Baraat

Challenging all odds and giving love a triumphant beginning, Mumbai’s finest wedding planner, Bride & Baraat made safety first weddings a reality with its first lockdown wedding organised in one of the prime locations of the city.

Adhering to all safety norms, planning, and executing the wedding amidst the easing lockdown restrictions, Ishta Khosla, founder and director of Bride & Baraat along with her team, curated the dream day of Manish Agarwal and Mahima Patwair with nothing but pure joy, love, and togetherness. Taking place at Mumbai’s prime location, the planning was done in accordance with the government advisory and a maximum of 50 guests were allowed for the celebrations. The safety-first approach was a comprehensive plan that ensured distancing norms, sanitization standards, along with the care and protection of the guests and the crew members.

While all the measures and guidelines were followed, Ishta and her team at Bride and Baraat ensured that the ceremony did not lose the intimacy and tenderness of the joyous union of two souls. While delivering a personalized experience to the couple, the team took care of the two-day event, right from the Mehendi and Sangeet ceremony to the wedding and reception. They brought to life the couple’s shared love for Bollywood, adorning an extravagant floral themed Sangeet and Mehendi ceremony, with colorful décor and Bollywood inspired Baraat. While day one was a splash of vibrant colors, day two of the wedding witnessed a red Moulin Rouge theme with roses and shimmering drapes that lay the perfect layout for a wedding and reception dusted with love and warmth. To add to the personalization, the team also customized #MahiGotMani masks and hand sanitizer favours for the guests.

Talking about the wedding plan, Bride and Baraat Founder Ishta quotes,
“Manish, the groom called me 18 days before the date and said to me that I am getting married in the next 18 days and I want you to plan it for me . Initially we were all very excited that we can now get back on our feets after so many months of lockdown and finally we will get back to work. But hardly any of us knew that it would be very challenging to pull it through from the normal kind. There were so many rough patches on the way of our planning from getting the police approvals, the vendors and infact till the last day we did not have a venue approved. But we knew that since it is an intimate wedding, we have to make it hyper personalised and make it the best day of their lives and that’s what we tried”

Not leaving any stones unturned, the Bride and Baraat crew wore PPE kits and masks throughout the events. Not only this, but the team also employed a special sanitation crew that thoroughly sanitized all entry points, tables, chairs, and design elements and ensured a socially distanced seating arrangement along with infrared temperature checks for all the guests.

Sharing the success of their wedding, the couple quotes,
“With Bride and Baraat, things have become really easy for us. We remember how our parents had to run all over the place to get our siblings’ wedding planned, so this time we thought especially with the lockdown that we needed a professional to take care of everything. The Bride and Baraat team not only made planning our wedding easier and convenient but also made it really happening and memorable for us and our entire family”

The extraordinary efforts made by Ishta Khosla and the Bride & Baraat team, in planning and delivering safe celebrations, are a symbol of the wedding industry getting back on its feet.

Couples can now avoid compromises when it comes to their special day, and have a safe, intimate wedding planned out without having to put happiness and love on hold.
