‘ProjectUrja’ Sanitary Pads Distribution Drive & Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Programme by Divine Urja Foundation & Samata Educational Trust

 Aim is to distribute 1 lac packets in Rural & Slum Areas still  28 May, World Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Day 

Murbad, 27 March, 2022 :

‘ProjectUrja’ a Sanitary Pads distribution Drive & Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Programme has been started by Divine Urja Foundation & Samata Educational Trust.

Under this campaign they visit various Villages & Slum areas to create awareness about menstrual hygiene and distribute bio degradable sanitary pads to the women in the area. This Sunday they visited ‘Konawadi’ & Muscal Village near Titwala and distributed more 200 packets to the women there.

“We researched and contacted many vendors to get to know about economical and best biodegradable pads or reusable pads and got to know about ‘Suvidha Scheme’ of Govt of India under which Govt sells bio degradable pads at just re. 1 (10 rs per pack), market value of same pad is 3 rs per pad, these are available at all ‘JAN AUSHADI CENTRES’ started by Government in every city”, said Bhavna Chhabria, Founder -  Divine Urja Foundation. 

“Inspired by #Reddotchallenge by UnicefIndia we aim to distribute atleast 1 lac sanitary pads packets to women in rural & slum areas till May 28, World Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Day”, said Shekhar Jeswaney, Secretary Samata Educational Trust.
