Bank of India Hosts Cyber Fraud Awareness Programme for CRPF to Strengthen Financial Security

22nd April 2026, Mumbai: Bank of India, one of India’s leading public sector banks, organized a “Cyber Fraud Awareness Programme” on 20.04.2026 at the Central Reserve Police Force, Head Quarters, New Delhi. The program’s objective was to equip and empower the CRPF personnel posted at various Zones/ Sector/ Range/ Group Centres/ Battalions and other CRPF institutions against various types of Cyber Frauds.

Shri D S Negi – Deputy Inspector General (Admn) of CRPF chaired the ceremony. The event was also attended by Sh. Vasudev - General Manager, Bank of India and other Senior Officials of both the organisations.

Sh. D S Negi (DIG – Admn) thanked BOI for conducting such an informational program for the benefit of CRPF personnel. He mentioned that, CRPF personnel often manage their finances remotely and are vulnerable to sophisticated cyber scams. He further emphasized that this program will certainly be beneficial in safeguarding CRPF personnel from financial frauds and enhance their knowledge of cyber security.

Sh. Vausdev – General Manager, Bank of India said, “We are proud to be associated with the CRPF & happy to conduct the awareness programme. He also said that it is our duty at Bank of India to ensure that financial security of CRPF personnel is not compromised by cyber criminals. He further stated that Cyber fraud is a major issue in today’s Banking and through this program, we aim to empower the CRPF personnel with the knowledge to recognize, reject and report cyber frauds.

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A session in which CRPF personnel from various stations and centres asked their queries.

CRPF and Bank of India had signed a salary account MoU under Rakshak Salary Scheme on 18.12.2025. The Rakshak Salary Account is a specially crafted salary account which is tailored to meet the needs of Personnel working in Defence/Paramilitary Forces and comes with a Cyber Fraud Insurance of upto Rs. 10 Lakhs.
