Home Credit India Announces Winners of Lucky Draw Contest, Encourages Customers to Pay EMIs on Time

·         Pan India contest witnessed participation from 77 cities

·         Winners get mobile phones, washing machines, home theatres and mega prize of bikes

·         Contest aims to promote responsible lending culture

Gurugram/New Delhi, March 27, 2018: Home Credit India Finance Pvt. Ltd., one of India’s fastest growing non-banking finance companies, announced the winners of an innovative and one-of-its-kind Lucky Draw Contest for its customers. Aimed at inculcating a habit of and encouraging customers to pay equated monthly installments (EMIs) on time, the contest elicited overwhelming response from Home Credit customers across India.

From Moga in Punjab to Madurai in Tamil Nadu and Bharuch in Gujarat to Kolkata in East, the contest had over 3.3 million customers participating from 77 cities from all corners of the country. To be eligible for the contest, customers were required to have atleast one loan running successfully with Home Credit from November 15, 2017 till December 31, 2017.

The contest offered customers a great opportunity to win some fabulous prizes like mobile phones, washing machines, and home theatre systems. There were five mega prizes of motorcycles as well. After over two months of hectic activity, 236 customers were chosen through the lucky draw. In each of the three award categories of washing machines, mobile phones and home theatres, 77winnerseach were announced. The five bike winners are from Aurangabad, Jamshedpur, Jaipur, Gwalior, and Ahmedabad.

Speaking on the contest, Tomas Hrdlicka, Chief Marketing Officer, Home Credit India said, "The Lucky Draw Contest was another unique initiative by Home Credit in our efforts towards building and promoting a responsible lending culture. Not only did this contest help us have a stronger engagement with our customers but more significantly create awareness that responsible lending is all about transparent processes and best practices while taking and repaying a loan. We thank each of our customers for being part of this contest. Going forward, our endeavor will be towards ensuring that our customers pay in time to enable them to have a good credit score that gives an opportunity to secure better financing options in the future.” 

As a responsible lender in India and globally, Home Credit has been aiming at setting up transparent processes, ensuring affordability, and supporting borrowers to repay loans comfortably. In February, a joint study by IIM Lucknow and Financial Planning Standards Board Indiasought to set standards for responsible lending in India, identifying key parameters and creating an industry-wide institutional matrix and tool for self-regulation that will serve as the defining contours for responsible lending.
