MMRC welcomes Indian Ambassadors & High Commissioners at Mumbai Metro Line 3 Project

Visited Azad Maidan site to witness progress of the work

Mumbai, June 28, 2018 – Mumbai, June 28, 2018 – Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) today organised a site visit for Indian Ambassadors and High Commissioners as a part of the Familiarisation Visit of Heads of Indian Missions for Promotion of Indian states abroad in CST Metro 3 station site at Azad Maidan. Indian Ambassadors and High Commissioners had a first-hand site experience of this Mega project and the world class technology deployed for it. Ms. Ashwini Bhide, MD MMRC presented the complexity of the project and how it is being implemented. With many of the Mission Heads having first-hand experience with Mumbai shown keen interest on the approach and process followed by MMRC on various issues.

Dignitaries present at the event were Shri Ahmad Javed, Ambassador of India to Saudi Arabia, Shri Ravi Bangar, Ambassador of India to Colombia, Ms. Sangeeta Bahadur, Ambassador of India to Belarus, Shri L. Prashant Pise, Ambassador of India to Tunisia, Shri Atul M. Gotsurve, Ambassador of India to Republic of Korea, Shri Azar A. H. Khan, Ambassador of India to Turkmenistan, Dr. Ajay M. Gondane, High Commissioner of India to Australia and Shri Vishvas Vidu Sapkal, High Commissioner of India to Republic of Fiji were at the site venue today. Ms. Ashwini Bhide, Managing Director, MMRC, Mr. SK Gupta, Director (Projects), Mr. R. Ramana, Executive Director, along with senior MMRC officials accompanied them.

Commenting on the occasion Managing Director MMRC, Ms. Ashwini Bhide, said “It is an honour and privilege for me and my entire team to welcome the Mission heads and we thank State Govt for including Line 3 as part of the familiarisation program. The Encouraging views expressed by them gave us immense motivation and we are truly honoured.”
