World Halloween Day celebrated by students from St. Wilfred’s School
Mumbai 31st October, 2018: Soaking in the spirit of Halloween and enjoying themselves to the core, around 250 students from Nursery, Junior KG and Senior KG section of St. Wilfred’s School in Shedung near Panvel in Navi Mumbai celebrated World Halloween Day at the school campus.
“Since the start of the school in 2014, We have organized several extra-curricular activities at the school. Such activities are essential to ensure the all-round development of students apart from imparting academic learning skills in them. Exposure to such activities also help in reducing stress among students and creating a conducive learning ecosystem,” stated Rasvinder Kaur, Coordinator of Pre-Primary and Activity Coordinator at St. Wilfred's School.
“Theme-based occasions like Halloweens Day helps students to unwind and have fun. It helps students gain crucial exposure to foreign cultures and understand their deeper nuances. We will continue to organize more such events in the future,” stated Kavita Hasuram Kamble, Pre-Primary Teacher at St. Wilfred's School.
The first-time Halloween Day celebrations organized by the school received an astounding response from the students. The fervor of the occasion was greatly enhanced with the addition of fun activity zones like Halloween Photo Booth, Zombie Area, Welcome to Haunted House, Welcome Witches, Welcome to a Web, Danger Space etc.
Teachers and students wholeheartedly enjoyed themselves even as the school was engulfed in the Halloween feel. The school authorities have placed emphasis on such extracurricular events to help students develop crucial life skills like team spirit and creative thinking among students.
Ms. Shachi Jolly, Principal, at St. Wilfred's School and Rasvinder Kaur, Coordinator of Pre-Primary and Activity Coordinator were instrumental in the planning and execution of the event.
