Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Hon’ble Governor, Government of Maharashtra inaugurated an Exclusive art exhibition “Four Stories” organized by Shri Vijay Darda at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai for a noble cause

Mumbai, August 30, 2022…An exclusive art exhibition “Four Stories” for a noble cause has been organized at the prestigious Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai by Shri. Vijay Darda, Chairman, Lokmat Media Group & Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha (1998-2016). This week-long exhibition from August 30 to September 5th will focus on generation donations for the education of children of the martyred policemen of Naxal-hit Gadchiroli district.
The event was inaugurated by Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Hon’ble Governor, Government of Maharashtra. The event also witnessed the gracious presence of Shri Rahul Narvekar, Maharashtra Assembly Speaker; Shri Praful Patel, President of the All India Football Federation and MP; Shri Harsh Goenka, Chairman, RPG Enterprises; Shri Gautam Singhania, Chairman and Managing Director of the Raymond Group; Shri Swami Nityanand Charan Das, internationally acclaimed artist Sujata Bajaj, DGP Rajnish Seth, film star Jackie Shroff and several other dignitaries were present on the occasion. The exhibition will remain open till 5th September.
The proceeds from the sale of the paintings of Vijay Darda will be spent for the education of the children of martyred policemen from Naxal-affected Gadchiroli district.The funds generated through the sale of Rachana Darda's paintings will be used to provide quality education to the underprivileged children of Yavatmal.
The proceeds from* the sale of Jayashree Bhalla's paintings will be used to help farmers in Karjat.
The funds generated through the sale of Bina Thakrar's paintings 'Bhava' will be spent to set up a medical centre at Safale in Palghar district through the Society for Human and Environmental Development.
Mr. Vijaya Darda who is also the founder of Jawaharlal Darda Art Gallery (JDAG), Nagpur, which along with the roving art platform "Shlok" is dedicated to promote the talented artists of Maharashtra. The recent 5-day art camp at Tadoba in Chandrapur district that was graced by 20 world-renowned artists was also a part of this initiative.
