Department of Posts (Maharashtra Circle) and GCCI Signed a Strategic MoU for Global Promotion of Cow-Based Industries

Mumbai | 9th March 2026: Shri Amitabh Singh, Chief Postmaster General Maharashtra & Goa addressed the press on 09.03.2026 on the occasion of signing of the MoU between Department of Posts (DoP) and Global Confederation of Cow-based Industries (GCCI). In a significant move to bolster the cow-based economy, the Department of Posts (DoP), Maharashtra Circle, and the Global Confederation of Cow-based Industries (GCCI) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today at Mumbai. Further, CPMG, Maharashtra Circle intimated that Logistics services for GCCI will be given by Maharashtra Circle and also 38 post offices identified with a special counter for sales of cow-based products and these cow-based products, this is having very high business potential. 

The partnership aims to provide comprehensive logistics and retail support to GCCI’s extensive network of cow entrepreneurs and innovators. GCCI, a section 8 company, represents a growing sector that manufactures over 300 products derived from cow milk, dung, and urine.

Key Highlights of the Collaboration:

  • Doorstep Logistics: The Department of Posts will serve as the primary logistics partner, offering Speed Post, India Post Parcel, and Logistics Post services for the doorstep delivery of cow-based products.

  • Retail Presence: Selected post offices across Maharashtra will explore showcasing and promoting GCCI’s products through Retail Post services.

Dr. Vallabhbhai Kathiria, former Union Minister of State & Chairman & Director – GCCI Gavyasidh, graced the ceremony and conveyed his best wishes for the strategic collaboration aimed at supporting cow-based entrepreneurs and innovators. Shri Manoj Kumar DPS (Mails & BD), Ms. Simran Kaur, DPS (HQ), (Dr.) Amitabhh AK Bhatnagar (Director & Gen. Secretary - GCCI), Shri Ajay Jallan (VP - Maharashtra Unit - GCCI), Smt. Jignesha Pandya (VP - Maharashtra Unit - GCCI), Shri Prafull bhai, Shri Ramesh Ghetia (Director & Gen. Secretary - GCCI), Shri Pureesh Kumar (Director & Gen. Secretary - GCCI), Shri Mital Kehtani (Director & Gen. Secretary - GCCI) were also present for this event.

"This partnership leverages the world's largest postal network to bring authentic Panchagavya products to every household," stated a representative from the Maharashtra Postal Circle. "It bridges the gap between rural cow entrepreneurs and the global market". 

During a press conference held in Mumbai, Dr. Vallabhbhai Kathiria, Founder of Global Confederation of Cow-Based Industries (GCCI), former Union Minister of the Government of India, and former Chairman of the Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog, announced that an inclusive International Summit and Exhibition titled “Gau Tech 2026” will be organized from 20 to 23 March 2026 at Agriculture College Ground, Shivaji nagar, Pune (Maharashtra). The event is being organized by GCCI with the support of Maharashtra Gau Seva Aayog, RR Global, and IFFCO. The objective of the event is to provide a global platform for cow-based industries, science, technology, research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
