Postal services form an integral part of the socio-economic life of the country, touching the lives of citizens across all sections of society. The Department of Posts is committed to providing efficient, reliable and customer-friendly services and ensuring the timely redressal of grievances of its customers, employees and other stakeholders.
With a view to strengthening the grievance redressal mechanism and providing a common and accessible platform for the resolution of grievances, the Department of Posts has decided to institutionalise Monthly Adalat Diwas on the first Friday of every month. On this day, all four Adalats, namely Staff Adalat, GDS Adalat, Pension Adalat and Dak Adalat, will be conducted concurrently at Circle, Regional and Divisional levels, as applicable. This initiative aims to facilitate the effective and timely redressal of grievances relating to postal services, staff, Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) and pensioners.
In this connection, the Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle, Mumbai – 400001, will hold the first Monthly Adalat Diwas on Friday, 06.11.2026 at 11.45 a.m. at the Office of the Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle, Mumbai GPO Building, 2nd Floor, GPO Complex, Mumbai – 400001.
Grievances pertaining to Maharashtra Circle, covering Maharashtra and Goa, relating to staff matters, Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS), pension matters and postal services, as applicable, may be submitted to the concerned Group Officers well in advance, on or before 04.11.2026, for consideration under the respective Adalats. Interested persons may submit their grievances through the prescribed channel to the concerned authority dealing with the respective Adalat for consideration during the Monthly Adalat Diwas.
