Solutions for water challenges in Mumbai: Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra unveils BASF white paper
September 24, 2015, Mumbai, India –Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri DevendraFadnavis today unveiled a whitepaper titled “Co-creating solutions for Mumbai’s water challenges” introduced by BASF.
The white paper includes seven potential solutions to enhance the water infrastructure in Greater Mumbai, drawn from 124 ideas based on the research, collaborative ideation during a two-day water summit and field work conducted in January 2015. The summit was held as part of BASF’s global 150th anniversary co-creation program, Creator Space™.

Over the past 18 months, BASF has worked with numerous experts in Mumbai to explore challenges and co-develop solutions that can improve access to safe, affordable water in Metro Mumbai through changes in technology, policy and behavior.
At the Creator SpaceTM tour stop in Mumbai in January 2015, more than 60 water experts and officials from municipal corporations, funding agencies, water consultants, and various organizations working in the field of water, business professionals, non-governmental organizations, academia and interested citizens discussed solutions to water challenges.
