Inauguration of DTRC 2020

Western India Regional Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (WIRC of ICAI) organizes “Direct Tax Refresher Course” (DTRC) every year to delve upon the current and emerging issues in Direct Taxation. This year DTRC was inaugurated on Saturday, 20th June, 2020 at 02.00 p.m. on virtual mode. 

CA. Atul Kumar Gupta, President – ICAI, CA. Nihar Jambusaria, Vice President – ICAI, CA. Lalit Bajaj, Chairman – WIRC and CA. Jayesh Kala, Regional Council Member addressed more than 2500 Chartered Accountants on virtual mode. Shri Satish Kumar Gupta, Member CBDT graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Shri Pramod Kumar, Vice President ITAT graced the occasion as Guest of Honour.

“Create Competence with Ethics. Achieve Governance through Innovation” – is the theme of WIRC. In this perspective, WIRC has always been in the forefront in organizing conferences, seminars, workshops and webinars which are important tools for the propagation of relevant information and dissemination of knowledge. The DTRC is the most eagerly awaited event of the year by the CA fraternity for more than two decades and is held in the month of June-July. Eminent faculties from across the country will address the issues on Direct Taxes of contemporary interest.

Pension Adalat

The Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle, Mumbai will be holding the 53rd Postal Pension Adalat for pensioners/family pensioners of Postal Department on 29th Sept 2023 at 11.00 Hrs, in the Office of Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle, Mumbai -400 001. Grievances regarding pensionary benefits pertaining to those who retired/died while in service from Department of Posts, Pensioners of Postal Department, Maharashtra and Goa States, which have not been settled within 3 months, will only be entertained in the Postal Pension Adalat.  Cases involving purely legal points i.e. succession, Notional pension, TBOP/MACP Promotion, stepping up of pay and disciplinary cases involving policy matters and cases pending for review of DPC will not be considered in Pension Adalat .  Pensioner should forward their grievance individually (not in bulk or on behalf of others) in triplicate in the proforma attached to Accounts Officer, Pension Adalat, O/o Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtr
